About

Practical science resources for real classrooms

Osmia Learning creates practical science resources and teacher tools for standards-based classrooms. Our focus is simple: give teachers materials that are easy to use, clearly aligned to learning targets, and built to support mastery over memorization.

What we make

We build free, browser-based review activities that students can complete with instant feedback, alongside companion resource packs that help teachers plan, align to standards, and bring each activity into a unit. Our goal is not to make every topic use the exact same flow. Instead, Osmia uses different classroom-game formats such as construction challenges, data-detective case files, and simulation-lite ecosystem labs so topics can feel interactive in different ways.

The current site structure separates Middle School Science (Grades 6–8) and High School Science (Grades 9–12) so teachers can find the right pathway quickly. Everything is designed to fit naturally into mastery- and standards-based grading approaches, with the free site activity acting as the lead experience and the paid companion pack extending it with printables, answer keys, and tracking tools.

How we reference standards

When Osmia Learning names NGSS connections, we use language such as aligned to selected NGSS performance expectations. We do not claim endorsement, certification, partnership, or official status from NGSS, WestEd, or the organizations involved in developing the standards.

Our approach to student privacy

The free activities are intentionally lightweight: no accounts, no student names, and no personal information. Activities run entirely in the browser and nothing students enter is sent to a server. You can read more on our Privacy page.
