About
Teacher-created science lessons with room to think
Osmia Learning is a teacher-created collection of science lessons designed to help students investigate, model, and make sense of the world around them.
I started Osmia Learning because I enjoy creating science lessons and sharing them with other teachers who are looking for classroom-ready activities that feel thoughtful, clear, and genuinely useful.
Everything here is teacher-created and designed with real classrooms in mind. The lessons are built to be practical, visually clear, and easy to use, while still asking students to think deeply about biology, genetics, ecology, and environmental science.
I believe students learn science best when they’re actively figuring things out—making predictions, analyzing evidence, revising models, and explaining their thinking. That’s the philosophy behind every lesson I create.
My hope is that these resources save teachers time, support meaningful learning, and help students experience science as something to understand, not just something to memorize.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something that helps make your classroom a little easier and your students a little more curious.

How we reference standards
When Osmia Learning names NGSS connections, we use language such as aligned to selected NGSS performance expectations. We do not claim endorsement, certification, partnership, or official status from NGSS, WestEd, or the organizations involved in developing the standards.
Our approach to student privacy
The free activities are intentionally lightweight: no accounts, no student names, and no personal information. Activities run entirely in the browser and nothing students enter is sent to a server. You can read more on our Privacy page.
